The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.


Federal Highway Administration Driving Study Webinar

FHWA LogoJoin the Federal Highway Administration for the first in a series of webinars on Tuesday April 5th from 1:00PM-2:30PM (ET) on their program SHRP 2 Naturalistic Driving Study (NDS) Pooled Fund, which will conduct ground breaking research in the areas of Highway Safety, Operations, Planning, and Safety. This first webinar will provide an overview of the data and discussion of the Pooled Fund. Future webinars will be more closely aligned to potential research questions based on the data, including video analytics.

The SHRP 2 NDS data and complementary Roadway Information Database (RID) will provide unprecedented data to the highway community collected over a 3-year period on how people actually drive in relation to roadway characteristics and driving conditions.
