The Computing Community Consortium (CCC) recently sponsored a Blue Sky Ideas Conference Track at the Sixteenth International Conference on Autonomous Agents and MutliAgent Systems (AAMAS), May 8-12, 2017 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The emphasis of this track was on visionary ideas, long-term challenges, and new research opportunities. This track was designed to overcome the constraints of the traditional review process and served as an incubator for innovative approaches, risky and provocative ideas, and to propose challenges and opportunities for the field in the near future.
The winning paper is Progressing Intention Progression: A Call for a Goal-Plan Tree Contest by Brian Logan (University of Nottingham), John Thangarajah (RMIT University), and Neil Yorke-Smith (American University of Beirut).
CCC provides travel awards to authors of the winning papers. We encourage you to apply for a Blue Sky Ideas track at your conference!
