Today marks the end of the following Computing Community Consortium (CCC) Council member’s time on the Council. We would like to highlight them once again and thank them for their exceptional dedication and service to the CCC and to the broader computing research community.
- Mark D. Hill, Microsoft and University of Wisconsin, Madison
- Mark joined the Council in 2013 and was Chair from 2018-2020. During his tenure as Chair, he spearheaded CIFellows 2020, the 2019 AI Roadmap, and two visioning workshops on Identifying Research Challenges in Post Quantum Cryptography Migration and Cryptographic Agility and Wide-Area Data Analytics.
- David Parkes, Harvard University
- David joined the Council in 2018 and organized the May 2019 Economics and Fairness visioning workshop and was instrumental in the 2019 AI Roadmap.
- Shwetak Patel, University of Washington
- Shwetak joined the Council 2015, organized the December 2016 workshop on Discovery and Innovation in Smart and Pervasive Health along with many white papers such as Evolving Academia/Industry Relations in Computing Research, Safety, Security, and Privacy Threats Posed by Accelerating Trends in the Internet of Things, A National Research Agenda for Intelligent Infrastructure, and Safety and Security for Intelligent Infrastructure.
- Ronitt Rubinfeld, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Ronitt joined the Council in 2018 and participated in the CCC Fairness and Accountability Task force and Algorithmic and Economic Perspectives on Fairness visioning workshop and enabled great connections with the theory community.
- Suresh Venkatasubramanian, University of Utah
- Suresh joined the Council in 2018 and was a member of the Executive Committee since 2019. Suresh was a member of the Responsible Computing Task Force and author of the A Research Ecosystem for Secure Computing white paper.
