Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

Are you a Ph.D. candidate or postdoctoral researcher in the field of artificial intelligence and medicine looking for a new opportunity? Are you interested in connecting with leading research groups and research institutions from Germany?

The DAAD AInet Fellowship is awarded twice a year to a group of outstanding international early career researchers in the field of artificial intelligence. Awardees will be invited to join the Postdoctoral Networking Tour in Artificial Intelligence (Postdoc-NeT-AI), a hybrid networking program that brings them face-to-face with leading researchers with the goal to initiate collaborations and career opportunities.

The virtual tour will take place from September 13 to 17th, 2021. It will provide an overview of the German science system, the institutions, and the funding opportunities. Most importantly, it offers ample opportunities for one-to-one discussions with scientists from foremost research institutions. Successful applicants will also be invited for an individual one-week visit to Germany which enables them to experience on the ground the research opportunities at those institutions which are of special interest.

What does the Fellowship include?

  • A virtual networking week, September 13-17, 2021
  • One-week travel stipend with plenty of opportunities to personally connect with leading researchers and research institutions from all over Germany.
  • Fellows will become part of the DAAD AInet Fellows and Alumni Network, thus expanding and strengthening the cooperation within the group and with the German research community.
