Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

January 5th, 2022 / in AI, Announcements, Research News, resources / by Maddy Hunter

The Office of Science and Technology Policy’s (OSTP) AI.gov just launched the AI Researchers Portal. This portal was established by the National AI Initiative Office, in partnership with Federal departments and agencies and the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development National Coordination Office. The platform provides a central location for researchers to explore Federal AI resources. This exciting new resource will make it easier for new and experienced researchers to explore what is available to those working on AI innovations and research. Some of the tools include:

Navigating Federal Research Funding Processes – information about the federal grant and funding processes for new researchers.

AI Research Program Repository – a directory of active AI federal research program that connects researchers with potential funding opportunities and collaborations.

Data Resources – a list of Federal datasets and repositories, such as NIST’s Science Data Portal and NOAA’s Big Data program datasets.

Computing Resourceslinks to computing infrastructure programs for AI research (NSF’s CloudBank, XSEDE programs, and others).

AI R&D Testbed Inventory – information on testing resources including the 40 Federally-funded AL-related testbeds.
