We are excited to welcome Alina Gerall as a new Program Associate for the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) subcommittee!
In her new role, Alina will assist CCC staff with administrative tasks and logistical matters, such as organizing and coordinating workshops and research efforts. Most recently, she worked at USAID to support the launch of their Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning policy, developing engaging training modules that emphasize the value of knowledge sharing.
“We are thrilled to have Alina join the CCC staff. Her background in Knowledge Management and her ScrumMaster certification will prove incredibly valuable in shepherding our many upcoming reports, workshops, and other events. I expect her extensive background in theater will also provide a fresh perspective and level of creativity to her work that will contribute to a more dynamic and collaborative environment within CCC, and ultimately, to the continued success of CCC’s initiatives. – Nadya Bliss, CCC Chair
Alina grew up in North Carolina and has lived in D.C. for the last decade. She recently left a 15-year career in non-profit theatre production to complete a Masters in Knowledge Management at Kent State. Her project management experience is focused on building connections and supporting experts, from librarians to actors to civil servants, and she is excited to add computing researchers to that list. Alina spends her free time embroidering, reading, playing games, and romping around outside with her dog.
Please join us in welcoming Alina to the CCC team!
