The Computing Community Consortium (CCC) recently sponsored a Blue Sky Ideas Conference Track at the 24th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Conference on Advances in Geographic Information Systems, October 31- November 3, 2016 in San Francisco, California. The purpose was to bring together researchers, developers, users, and practitioners in relation to novel systems based on geo-spatial data and knowledge, and fostering interdisciplinary discussions and research in all aspects of geographic information systems. It collects, manages, and provides access to archived and real-time multi-source and multi-modal data to support the development and testing of ITS applications.
