Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

Virtual Heidelberg Laureate Forum 2020

The Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) is virtual this year! Robotics Roadmap for US Robotics: From Internet to Robotics, 2020 Edition

In 2009, the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) published A Roadmap for US Robotics, From Internet to Robotics (a.k.a. the Robotics Roadmap), which explored the capacity of robotics to act as a key economic enabler, specifically in the areas of manufacturing, healthcare, and the service industry, 5, 10, and 15 years into the future. National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Institutes Program Webinar

The National Science Foundation (NSF) will be holding a program webinar about the new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Institutes on September 21, 2020, at 3:30-5:00PM ET. The 2021 IEEE Innovation in Societal Infrastructure Award has been awarded to Computing Community Consortium (CCC) council member Elisa Bertino (Purdue University), “For advancing the security and privacy of new-generation cellular networks!” Elisa Bertino is Samuel D. Conte Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University. She serves as Director of the Purdue Cyberspace Security Lab (Cyber2Slab).
