The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) issued a Presolicitation Notice for its 2018 Exploratory Advanced Research Program’s Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) with an anticipated posting date soon. Through the issuance of this BAA, FHWA anticipates sponsoring research addressing four topics: (1) Mobil Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs); (2) Video Analytics; (3) Artificial Realistic Data and (4) Supplementary or Alternative Materials for Highway Pavements and Structures. The US Department of Transportation Federal Highway Transportation System has released a Request for Information on Integration of Automated Driving Systems (ADS) into the Highway Transportation System. Responses are due February 24th, 2018.  Summary: Automated Driving Systems (ADS) are increasling being tested and introduced onto the public roadways.
