Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

CCC Council Member Kevin Fu Comments on FDA’s Postmarket Cybersecurity Guidance

Kevin also co-founded Virta Labs, a healthcare cybersecurity company. A growing number of medical devices are designed to be networked to facilitate patient care. However, as we have seen, networked medical devices and hospital records incorporate software that make them vulnerable to cybersecurity threats. Proactively addressing cybersecurity risks in hospitals reduces the patient safety impact and the overall risk to public health. CCC and CRA Add New Members

Today, July 1, new talents were added to the ranks of both the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) Council and the Computing Research Association (CRA) Board of Directors.  The CCC welcomes five new members to its Council and CRA welcomes five new members to it’s Board.
