The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the IEEE Computer Society announced Kunle Olukotun, a Professor at Stanford University and former Computing Community Consortium (CCC) workshop organizer, as the recipient of the 2023 ACM-IEEE CS Eckert-Mauchly Award for contributions and leadership in the development of parallel systems. The Eckert-Mauchly Award is known as the computer architecture community’s most prestigious award. It is co-sponsored by ACM and the IEEE Computer Society and comes with a $5,000 prize. The CCC Council is composed of 23 members who have expertise in diverse areas of computing.
