Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

CCC Sponsors Blue Sky Ideas Conference Track at Foundations of Software Engineering 2014

The Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is sponsoring another track in its Blue Sky Ideas Conference Track series at the 22nd ACM SIGSOFT International Symposium on Foundations of Software Engineering (FSE), November 16-22, 2014 in Hong Kong. This track emphasizes visionary ideas, long term challenges, and opportunities in software engineering research that are outside of current mainstream topics of the field. The submissions to this track will be judged on the extent to which they expand the possibilities and horizons of the field or challenge existing assumptions prevalent in the field.  The CCC will sponsor three Best Paper Awards in this special track, which will be selected out of the accepted papers based on evaluations by the program committee.
