The Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is charged with enabling the pursuit of innovative, high-impact computing research that aligns with pressing national and global challenges. Established in 2006 through a cooperative agreement between the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Computing Research Association (CRA), the CCC provides a voice for the national computing research community, facilitating the development of a bold, multi-themed visions for computing research and communicating that vision to a wide range of stakeholders. The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

As an Olympian, mathematician and Professor of Computer Science at University of Colorado Boulder, Bradley discusses the impact of athletics on personal development, the importance of discipline, and strategies for balancing sports and intellectual pursuits. Former CCC Council Member, Jennifer Rexford named Princeton’s next provost

The provost position acts as chief academic advisor and chief budget officer. Rexford will start her new position in March, 2023. Rexford is a long-time friend of the CCC. CCC Announces New Council Members

The CCC Council is comprised of 20 members who have expertise in diverse areas of computing.
