Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

CCC Releases Evolving Methods for Evaluating and Disseminating Computing Research White Paper

The Computing Community Consortium (CCC) has released a white paper titled Evolving Methods for Evaluating and Disseminating Computing Research. This white paper was written by Future of the Research Enterprise (FRE) task force members Ben Zorn (Microsoft Research), Tom Conte (Georgia Tech), Keith Marzullo (University of Maryland), and Suresh Venkatasubramanian (University of Utah).  The FRE task force was assembled in 2019 to study the evolution of the computing research ecosystem, including topics such as the impact of academia-industry relations, the peer review process, and the future of open source projects.
